Our food environment has changed dramatically in the last 60 years, and there are so many opposing views on nutrition that it’s difficult to know what to believe. Industrial, processed foods and drinks have taken over our marketplace. These foods are full of sweeteners, chemical preservatives and artificial flavor enhancers. These substances can affect our brain chemistry, alter mood and cause physiological imbalances. They can override the body’s ability to feel satisfied and cause cravings that lead to overeating and food addiction. This can, in turn, lead to food intolerances and nutritional deficiencies that promote obesity, diabetes, depression and a whole host of degenerative diseases.
“Through the FARE program, I have learned to listen to my body. I know how to tell if a food works for or against my body. After the first 2 weeks, I no longer focused on what I couldn’t have (which was typical for me in the past), but on what my body needed and could have. My body thanks me on a daily basis.”- Carolyn S. Herron Island, WA

“After a retreat with Diane following the Fare nutrition plan, I always feel and look so much better. It is remarkable how getting rid of sugar can make my mind clearer and sharper and my skin look so much better. I look forward to the next one! “- Pat W. San Francisco, CA
